Google Sites for Intranet

Leverage Google Sites for Company Intranet

A good way to leverage your Google Workspace Business investment, and get more participation from users on the advantages of the environment, is to set up company intranet access with Google Sites.  With the core of security controlled by your administrator through the Google Admin Console, the administrator sets the access for designated Google Drive allocation for the site to only be to users within the organization.

The creator of the intranet Google Site can be a different designated user, who within those security parameters can edit content. Within the company intranet, other Google Sites, such as one for each department, can be maintained, with a designated person from a department to be assigned as the primary editor.

Google Drive Managed Access and Admin Console Scope

The author of the Google Site can be allowed to manage the access of users to the site, while the system administrator can set the scope of that access from the Admin Console. Beyond company access, and managing individual accounts access, Groups are fundamental to controlling access with ease.
